A proper bed, a full kitchen, a shower room. Everything you need, nothing in the way. The room opens onto the terrace, and the terrace opens onto the sea.
The studio has been completely renovated. You reach it through a small pedestrian lane and a few steps, above the harbour of Niolon. The terrace — ten square metres of wood, sheltered from view — is the real living room: coffee facing the cove in the morning, lunch in the shade, wetsuits drying in the afternoon, and the evening spent watching the harbour lights come on.
It is a studio for two people. We never take more, and that is what keeps it quiet.

A few things to note
A few small details worth knowing before you book — they are part of what makes this cove what it is.
- It is not large. Twenty square metres, for two people.
- There is no parking at the door. The lane is pedestrian. You park in the free visitor car park at the entrance of the village and walk about 200 metres. Full details here.
- There are steps — up to the studio, and about fifty down to the water. The studio is not suitable for guests with reduced mobility, and Niolon in general is very difficult in that respect.
- The sea view is a small one — but it is there. The terrace itself faces the village rooftops, which is exactly what makes it so quiet and sheltered. The sea in full is fifty steps below.
- We are on the edge of the scrubland. There are mosquitoes (plug-in repellent inside, coils for the terrace) and occasionally a harmless woodlouse on the steps. In summer there are cicadas — they start early and stop late. This is Provence.
- Barbecues are strictly forbidden. We are on the edge of the hills, the scrubland burns fast, and there are no exceptions.
- The village grocery closes in winter — it runs from mid-April to mid-October. One restaurant stays open all year round.
